Positano is a place that has everything: the sun setting into a perfect sea, fish restaurants lining the port, a plethora of little boutiques and the friendly exuberance of the Southern Italians...and it has Villa Lisa, perched high above the port with spectacular views over the bay and the Amalfi coastline.
The pale pink villa is on two floors, both with terraces flooding the rooms with breath-taking views, one off the master bedroom and one, paved in terracotta and shaded by wisteria, leading off the sitting room/dining room. The rooms open out of each other in a cool, elegant sequence, the original doors and lintels engagingly painted green on white. The floors, everywhere covered in smooth white tiles, are just asking to be walked upon barefoot. Waking up in the morning here you just know you're no longer in Kansas!
Ground Floor: A living room, central foyer/living room and dining room stretch across the front of the villa and open onto the terracotta terrace overlooking the sea. The compact, fully equipped kitchen is adjacent to the dining room. There is a powder room off the dining room.
First Floor: Three equally sized bedrooms stretch across the front. One bedroom has a huge terrace facing the sea. This bedroom has a full bath and dressing area behind it. A second bedroom has twin beds (the middle bedroom). The third bedroom has a double bed. There are a further two baths on this floor, one with tub and one with shower making the total number of bathrooms on this floor three. There is an additional smaller bedroom with terrace which is in the back of the house and accesses the bath with shower.
Maid service is included, she comes every day except Sunday and can cook and shop at extra cost.
